[1] Take a new file of 300 pixels 300 pixels of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.
[2] Create a circle using Elliptical shape tool.
[3] Now go to the Blending Option use the following the settings.

[6] Cntl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection.
[7] From Select menu click Modify>Contract.
[8] Your image should be look like this.
[9] Create a new layer. Fill the selection with white to black gradient in linear mode.
[10] Select the marquee tool and move the selection upwards.
[11] Press Cntl+Shift+I and press delete.
[12] Change the layer mode to screen as shown fig. below.
[13] Your image look like this.
[14] Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.
[15] And fill the color as shown in fig. below.
[16] Move the layer below and set the opacity as shown in the fig. below.
[17] Your image should be look like this.
[18] Here is your final logo.
